SITRAER– Air Transportation Symposium – is an annual event organized by the Brazilian Air Transportation Research Society (SBTA). The SBTA is an independent society of scientific research, which aims to promote academic research and technical development of air transportation in Brazil and in Latin America. It was officially founded in December 2002, in São José dos Campos, SP, Brazil.
In 2022, the XIX SITRAER will be held in the city of São José dos Campos, from October 25th to 27th. São José dos Campos is in the heart of a worldwide acknowledged aeronautical cluster and was recently certified as the first smart city in Brazil, along with 78 cities in the world. With these characteristics, the XIX SITRAER will seek the necessary interchange among the academia, the entrepreneurial world, the service providers, and the regulation authorities, so as to promote dissemination and debates of great value for this activity sector so important for the economy and the citizens’ quality of life.
We invite the authors to submit papers which report researches related to Air Transportation, including the ones dedicated to models, to technological solutions, qualitative or quantitative analyses, bibliographical/literature reviews, and other approaches with scientific reasoning. SITRAER 2022

SITRAER 2022 submissions will follow three MANDATORY subsequent phases: (i) Abstract Revision (ii) Full Paper Revision, and (iii) Full Paper Upload, according to the Important Dates Section.

(i) Abstract Revision

The abstract must be written according to this template and submitted in PDF through this link. A double-bind revision will be carried out.

(ii) Full Paper Revision

All corresponding authors were already notified about the abstract decision. The full paper must be prepared according to the following templates and uploaded in PDF:

The final version of the paper must be uploaded until the due date in PDF. Please follow strictly these rules during the preparation of your paper:

• Follow the template;
• Make the recommended corrections (received by e-mail);
• The abstract embedded in the paper, must be written in the same language of the paper;
• Remove the page numbers (we will add them manually);
• Name the file like this ‘SITXYZ.pdf’;
• Submit until the due date;

In the submission form, you will be asked for:

• Full names of all authors, their e-mails and ORCID (optional);
• Research title (it can have small differences from the original, in case you have improved it during the revision process);
• Authorization form in English or Portuguese here. The corresponding author must sign it (you can use digital tools for that or a scanner);
• Abstract in English (copy and paste);
• If you want your paper to be considered for publication a Journal. For ‘Revista Transportes’ only English written papers are eligible.

Make sure to follow the Registration guidelines and the Presentation guidelines (template in presentation subsection below).

All submitted papers must follow the SITRAER 2022 Template (see the Submissions Section).

All the approved papers will be included in the SITRAER 2022 Proceedings, given that at least one of the authors have attended the oral session.

Additionally, during the submission of the final version of the approved paper, the corresponding author will be asked if he wishes his paper to be considered for publication in a journal. Such an option does not guarantee acceptance in the journal.

The journal editorial team will then follow a specific workflow, selecting the papers according to their quality and adherence to the journal aims and scope. Hence, authors may be asked for changes in content and format.
